Kanye West Releases Song Snippet With Diddy and North West
Kanye West has released audio of what seems to be a new song collaboration with his daughter North West and Diddy.
In a now-deleted post on X, Kanye gave a sneak peek of the record, “Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine,” which also features Diddy’s son, Christian Combs.
The song opens with a nearly five-minute voice recording of a phone conversation between Diddy and Kanye where Diddy thanks Ye for supporting his kids.
“I want to just thank you so much for just taking care of my kids, man,” says Combs in the audio. Ye then replies saying, “Absolutely, I love you so much, man. You raised me. Even when I ain’t know you, know what I’m saying.”
However, Kim Kardashian, North West’s mother, isn’t too thrilled about her daughter being on a song with Diddy, according to text messages shared by Kanye on social media.
One text shows Kim saying, “I asked u at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18 it goes to her. So stop. I sent paper work over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her.”
Kim also alleges that trademarking their children’s names was something she and Kanye agreed on when the kids were born so that no one else would take them.
The text messages go on to show Kanye demanding that Kim amend the trademark.
“Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout. You’re going to have to kill me,” says Ye.
Kim and Kanye married in 2014 and have four children together. North West is the ex-couple’s eldest child and has become a star in her own right, dabbling in music and acting.
