Family and loved ones celebrated the life of legendary soul singer Angie Stone on Friday in Austell, Georgia at Word of Faith Cathedral.

Keke Wyatt was one of the musical guests and sang a beautiful ten-minute rendition of “His Eye Is on the Sparrow”. During her tribute, Stone’s fellow R&B Divas: Atlanta cast mate also spoke about the tensions between the two on the show and how they reconciled after filming.

“It’s so funny because when we were on R&B Divas they really tried to get her to just get up under my skin,” said Wyatt. “And I was like, OK, so she came up to me and she was like, ‘Baby, look, they just had me come on here to ruffle your feathers,’ and I said, ‘Well, honey you did a good job.’ And ever since that day, we have been the best of friends, and I thank God for her.”

Wyatt went on to say that Stone would always pray with her and encourage her.

“Like she was so beautiful, like seriously I love her music and I love her voice and all that, but her as a person trumps all of that.”

Tyler Perry gave an emotional eulogy at the service saying he’s “angry” at how Stone was treated by the music industry.

“To think that this woman was in the business for all of these years … All of those years, all of those songs, all of that money that was owed to her. Where is it? It’s wrong,” said Perry. “You have to be careful when start mistreating people, especially children of God …”

Before her passing, Stone spoke out on social media about her financial issues with her record label, Universal Music Group, explaining that the entertainment giant had not compensated her fairly for her music sales.

Kirk Franklin, Musiq Soulchild  and Anthony Hamilton also attended the home going service.

Stone passed away at the age of 63 after a tragic car accident in Alabama.
