New Evidence Delays 2pac Murder Trial
2Pac’s murder trial has been delayed until 2026 after Keefe D, the murder suspect, filed a request citing new evidence. Originally scheduled to start next month, the trial will now begin February 9th of next year in Las Vegas.
According to Keefe D’s legal team, this new evidence is witness testimony that allegedly proves his innocence and that he wasn’t even present at the crime scene at the time of the murder. They argued that they need more time to interview these witnesses and investigate their claims.
The presiding judge for the case, Judge Carli Kierny, explained her ruling to accept the delay request saying, “It looks like there are quite a few things that are left to be done to get this case prepared so that Mr. Davis can have effective assistance of counsel.”
Keefe D was arrested in September 2023 and pled not guilty to all charges. He is the only suspect to ever be charged with crimes related to the murder of rap legend, Tupac Shakur, although many believe the triggerman was Keefe D’s nephew and Crip member, Orlando Anderson. Anderson was killed in a gang shooting in 1998.
