The interview started with A$AP Ferg speaking on his newest project DAROLD that dropped November 8th. Ferg touched on a number of topics, but the song that stands alone is the story that is Pool. Ferg takes us back into his childhood where he recalls being molested by a boy in a local swimming pool when he was just ten years old.
He told the Rap Attack team that it took him over eight years to write the song. Ferg admitted that time got away from him as he struggled not to reveal too much, but also wanted to be a detailed as possible about his feelings, and what had happened, so that he may hopefully be used as an example with someone struggling with the same issues.

“It was hard to write the song because I didn’t know how to articulate it… what do I want to share? This is uncharted territory. We never had a rapper be the face of this discussion. Ferg explained.
Ferg spoke on giving the youth something to relate to and being thought-provoking with his music the same way the Notorious B.I.G. was for him when he released Suicidal Thoughts

“Maybe this is something that can help a kid — help somebody step off of a ledge. To let them know ‘Damn, Ferg is my favorite artist. He been through something’. That’s what Biggie did for me.” Ferg told the crew. “When he did Suicidal Thoughts on Ready to Die I was like ‘wow… I’m not the only one.”
Ferg also spoke on the current state of Hip-Hop and how music’s most popular, profitable genre, is shedding its skin from its most toxic sub genre — Gangster rap.
Gangster rap is over… it’s done” A$AP Ferg proclaimed. “If you wanna be in music, and you wanna be in a industry, that we don’t own, it’s rule to obey”.
