Rapper Nelly has landed in hot water following a recent arrest.
CBS affiliate KRCG reports that the “Hot In Herre” MC was arrested at 4:45 am early Wednesday morning (Aug. 7) near his hometown of St. Louis, according to police reports.
The 49-year-old rapper, whose birth name is Cornell Haynes II, was busted for possession of four ecstasy pills and for not having insurance.
Nelly was taken to the Maryland Heights Police Department and later released, according to online arrest records.
Maryland Heights Police confirmed the rapper had an outstanding traffic summons on Aug. 7.
