Yahu Blackwell is gearing up for his grand opening of Rita’s Italian Ice Baltimore Rotunda March 30, 2020. Whether they’re in the NBA, NFL, NHL, or Boxing, quite a few athletes have invested in different fast-food businesses and franchises. Baltimore, Maryland cruiser weight boxer “Yahu Blackwell” owns several Rita’s Italian Ice locations in the city of Baltimore and he says, he also has plans of franchising Auntie Anne’s, and running for City Council in the very near future. He is just getting started.

“I always foresaw myself as being a business man one day. A lot of athlete’s and entertainer’s end up “broke” when there careers come to an end, I didn’t want to counted among them. I choose Rita’s because it was my mother’s favorite place for dessert. It was literally one of her last request before she passed, I hope I made her proud.
