City School Teachers Are Expected To Get Pink Slips

Baltimore City schools gave notice to teachers and staff informing them about a layoff announcement coming next month. Administrators say the layoffs will be less than the 1,000 people who were initially projected to be let go. This comes after the school system gets new aid from the state and city to close the $130 million budget shortfall.

quikthegod This is so F’d up!!! I work in construction and I telling you FACTS; they’re closing our schools and laying off our teachers while BUILDING NEW SCHOOLS in the county!!! I go to them everyday!! 😡😡😡😡

justlikealotus7.20 They do this layoff every year, but if you go on the schools website they are hiring😒 My sister is giving a letter every year. My aunts school is closing for good in June. It’s just too much!!!! Education is NOT #1. The staff members are under paid(all staff members) especially the Para-eductors and other supportive staff members. The children are suffering due to the lack of EVERYTHING!!!!! @drejohnson1
