MUSIC ROUNDUP: Rihanna Producer Dishes On ‘R8’ & More!

There’s no telling when we’ll finally get that Rihanna album, we’ve been craving since she announced the name of the studio project. The Bajan singer blessed the Rihanna Navy with the first cut from the album when she dropped “FourFiveSeconds” a few weeks ago. Just yesterday there was buzz that she’s going on tour with Kanye, but there has been surprisingly little about “R8” until now.

When HipHollywood.com caught up with producer Malik Yusef, they asked what the album will be offering. Although he wouldn’t go into specifics, he said that “FourFiveSeconds” is something of an outlier on “R8.” According to Malik, the vibe of the album is going to offer “more sex appeal, more grind, more seriousness.”

Chris Brown Banned In Canada

Chris Brown is persona non grata in the Great White North. The “Loyal” singer was barred from getting into Canada on Tuesday while heading up for a show at the Belle Center in Montreal on the Between The Sheets Tour.

“The good people of the Canadian government wouldn’t allow me entry. I’ll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans,” Chris tweeted after being turned away from the border. He’s since taken the post down.

A rep for Live Nation released a statement explaining that “immigration issues” were the reason that Breezy was shut down. Fans are undoubtedly very disappointed about the cancelation, but refunds for their tickets will be available.

Sevyn will be in good company on the album, which also featuresWale, Wiz Khalifa and T.I. Until the soundtrack comes out, though, Sevyn’s lyric video will have to hold you over.
